Jordan Smith, Artistic Director

Jordan Smith is a veteran actor/director with many appearances on professional and community theatre stages throughout the Triangle area. He has also appeared on PBS and NPR as well as in numerous industrial films. A performance award winner at Raleigh Little Theatre and with the Gallery Players (Burlington) and a former president of Theatre In The Park, Jordan has appeared in Ghost & Spice’s performances of “Cold Storage” and “Taking Sides” and directed the company’s productions of “Seamarks” and “Agnes of God.” He is the company’s co-founder and serves as its Executive Producer.
Rachel Klem, Managing Director

Rachel Klem is the Managing Director of Ghost & Spice and has directed “The Play About the Baby”, “Oleanna”, “Shirley Valentine”, and “Road to Nirvana” for the company. Other Ghost & Spice involvement includes Rita in “Educating Rita” and Mary in “Bite the Hand/ Final Placement”. She has been professionally improvising since she was 18 years old, and can presently be seen performing with Transactors Improv all over the Triangle. She spent seven years in Chicago, where she earned her Masters Degree in Acting from DePaul University’s The Theatre School. She is the director of Common Ground Theatre and teaches Introduction to Theatre at NCSU.
Jeff Alguire, Technical Director

Jeff Alguire also moved here recently from Chicago, where he spent seven years working with some of Chicago’s finest Off-Loop theatre companies. Jeff’s training includes a BA degree in drama from San Francisco State University and three years of improv training and performance with Bay Area TheatreSports.
Lenore Field, Board Member

For Ghost & Spice Lenore has appeared in “Shirley Valentine”, “Lights Out at Lulu’s”, “Love Letters”, “The Play about the Baby”, “Long Day’s Journey into Night”, and “Agnes of God”. Regional theatre credits include: “A Little Night Music”, “All’s Well that Ends Well”, “The Man Who Came to Dinner”, “Our Town” and “Luminosity” for PlayMakers Repertory Company; “Look Homeward, Angel” and “Sleeping Bag”, for Syracuse Stage. Locally, Ms. Field also appeared in Open Door Theatre’s productions of “Les Liaisons Dangereus”, “Rosmersholm” and “The Eight: Reindeer Monologues”. She was also seen in “The Dining Room”, “The Importance of Being Earnest”, “The Octette Bridge Club” and “Archy & Mehitabel” for Raleigh Little Theatre. Ms. Field received her training at Syracuse University, The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and with Ms. Joan Darling.
Melissa Lozoff, Company Member

Melissa Lozoff, born and raised in Canada, moved to Los Angeles, California at the age of 18 to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She spent the next nine years of her life acting in theater, film, TV, commercials and music videos. Her film and TV credits include “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery”, Jacqui in a prime-time CBS special, “Jacqui’s Dilemma”, Kim Goldman on “E!-Entertainment’s O.J.’s Civil”, and recurring roles on “Days Of Our Lives” and “The Young And The Restless”. Melissa, a member of Ghost and Spice, has been seen locally in “Les Liaisons Dangereuse”, “Love Letters”, “Bite The Hand/ Final Placement”, “Oleanna”, and “Agnes Of God”. She teaches at the Acting Conservatory at the ArtsCenter and is the creator/director of Movie Makers, a program where kids and teens write, direct, and star in their own movies.
Rus Hames, Company Member

Rus Hames grew up in Chattanooga, TN, and schooled/lived/worked in NYC before moving to Durham in 1999. He spent 5 years working as an actor with Raleigh Ensemble Players (REP) and was honored by IndyWeek for his musical direction (2003) of REP’s “Handler.” As a director and writer he has created a number of original works and adaptations including “Ctrl-Alt-Delete” (Best Production, Best Original Script, IndyWeek, 2005) at Common Ground in Durham. New to Ghost & Spice, Mr. Hames performed and directed for their evening of one-acts, “Silence by the Masters”, and played Mac Sam in “The Miss Firecracker Contest”. Mr. Hames has a BFA from NYU.
Tracey Coppedge, Company Member

Born and raised a Navy brat, Tracey Coppedge takes pride in the vast theatre experience her travels have afforded her. Tracey received her BA in Theatre from Ohio Northern University where she played a wide range of roles, including Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet”, Cornelia Scott in “Something Unspoken”, Anybodys in “West Side Story”, and Hattie in “Laundry and Bourbon”. She has performed locally with Rags to Riches Theatre For Young Audiences, New World Stage and FATE. She is proud to be one of the latest Ghost & Spice company members.
